About Alexandrite laser

Alexandria laser hair removal (common name: fiber optic laser hair removal)

Principle: The wavelength of the laser is 755nm, which can transmit energy to the hair follicle and destroy the subsequent growth ability of the hair follicle. After sufficient number of treatments, hair growth can be inhibited for a long time. Because of the remarkable hair removal effect, it is the mainstream instrument for hair removal treatment at present.

Precautions

Before treatment:

Treatment is not recommended for pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Oral A acid or laser therapy was discontinued 1 month ago.

Stop using A-acid ointment, exfoliation (including face washing machines) or acid peels 2 weeks ago, and avoid excessive sun exposure.

Shave the hair of the treatment area 3 days ago, and the hair must be shorter than 0.3 cm on the day of treatment. Do not remove (including body knife and beeswax) or use depilatory cream.

Intimate treatment must avoid menstrual period.

Bring your ID and appropriate clothing (loose vest/shorts) on the day of treatment.

After treatment:

There may be redness, swelling, dryness, itching, crusting, and peeling of the skin within a few days. Do not pick and scratch, you should strengthen moisturizing or thinly apply ointment (3 to 4 times a day), which can relieve discomfort.

Suspend the use of irritating products containing alcohol, whitening, acids, exfoliating and other ingredients within 1 week.

Avoid doing face, exfoliating and using face washing machine within 1 week.

Avoid going to swimming pools, seaside and high temperature environments (hot springs, ovens, saunas, cleaning with superheated water) within 1 week.

It is necessary to strengthen sun protection and try to avoid direct sunlight. Choose sunscreen products with SPF30 or above, and reapply every 3 hours outdoors.

The effect of the laser is to destroy the subsequent growth of the hair follicles. Therefore, it is normal if there are hairs that do not fall off after the operation. Just scrape them carefully after 1 week, and do not pull them out.

Hair growth cycle

Growth phase: Alexandria laser only treats hair in the growth phase.

Regression period: Although the hair still stays on the skin, the Alexandria laser does not respond to the hair in this period.

Resting period: At this time, a slight movement of the hair will cause hair loss, and Alexandria laser has no effect at this stage.

Growth phase recovery: About 1/3 of the hair is in the growth phase, and the rest are in the other three phases. Each time you apply it, there is only a partial effect. In addition, some extremely strong hair follicles need multiple treatments.
